Yes β€” bananas are safe for Golden Retrievers and most dogs enjoy them. They're a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C.

Benefits of Bananas for Golden Retrievers

How Much Banana Is Safe?

Bananas are high in natural sugar, so moderation is key. A few slices (about a third of a banana) once or twice a week is ideal for a Golden. Too much can cause weight gain or digestive upset.

Preparation

Remove the peel before serving. You can mash banana into a Kong toy, freeze slices for a summer treat, or simply hand-feed a few pieces.
